Report by Rob S.
The forecast for today, rain and high winds, hmm, well I'm designated leader so I'd better get the bike out and see who's at the start. Although it's wet it's not cold, and eight of us set of for a ride around some of the less used roads of Torquay, eventually descending to the seafront, and where is the coffee stop? Styles Park, UP on the outskirts of Torquay. The first time in the cafe for a lot of people, but it's well received, lovely views down the valley on a nice day. A couple of people drive to meet us there, including Roger, who is really happy to be well on the mend, and about to be allowed back on his bike. Five people want a few more miles, so we set off into the lanes, heading for Landscove, people are a little concerned as to what facilities might be found there, no worries, a quaint rustic bus shelter serves to protect us while we eat our snacks and watched the bicycles blow over in the wind. Three of us are still in no rush to go home, but fancy a cuppa, so it's off to Morrisons in Totnes, detouring around Week and Cott, a new lane for one of us. It's an ill wind they say, that blows nobody any good, and it certainly helps with the last few miles to home. Another great day on the bike despite a few showers.
