The Devon CTC 77th annual dinner and prize giving was held on Saturday 29th November 2008 at the Grange Restaurant, Buckfast Abbey.

Zsolt Schuller was our guest speaker. Zsolt is the Cycle Exeter Project Manager. Zsolt gave an insight to their objectives and achievements and the schemes which have developed and enhanced cycling for both adults and children. Zsolt also gave an insight to future programmes and plans for 2009, as funding has now been acquired. Our thanks to Zsolt for giving us a very interesting talk and schemes that have been achieved in encouraging people to using other forms of sustainable transport.

John Dodson provided a display of bikes, these provided a great deal of interest and even some of our senior members admitted to riding similar bikes a few years back

Bill Barnes, together with Zsolt, presented the DATC trophy awards to the winners. Exeter CTC managed to collect a few more trophies this year.

The raffle which was operated by Don Buteux and Pippa Wheeler proved very well supported, prizes being kindly donated by local cycle shops and by individuals, profit will be donated to FORCE the Exeter-based cancer charity. Thank you for contribution to this local charity.

A display of part of the DA collection of maps, books, CTC rides etc. These were on sale and proved very interesting for those who collect items on cycling from yesteryear.

Graham Brodie very kindly provided a screen showing continuous photos of rides by members from the area and rides abroad. Graham also provided a digital photo frame showing more heroic rides by members.
