C T C TORBAY SPRING 2008 NEWSLETTER - from Geoff Sharpe
Great to see so many of you at the Skittles Evening, a time to get to know those of you who we don’t see too often on a Sunday or a Wednesday. Congratulations to Lee who was the last man standing in the killer game and won the money.
The Tour of Brittany is now history after all it’s problems, but the 37 who went over last weekend must of felt that we made the right choice in going for that date, we had smooth crossings both ways and all the fine weather on the Saturday while I understand it bucketted it down in Devon.
Lists have been sent out covering the months April to July giving you a varied selection of rides every Sunday with hard and soft rides each month. On 4th May we have a car assisted ride to Dunkeswall Airfield. Either join Jason to ride to St Bridgets Nursery for coffee then onto Dunkeswell or drive or get a lift in a car to Whimple Station where we will join members of Exeter and South Hams group to ride up to the Airfield. There will be a coffee stop at Willand.
WEDNESDAY EVENING RIDES
John has set out a list of pubs to visit over the next 3 months, a selection of long and short rides with a second ride using an easier route at a slower pace on the first Wednesday of each month. Now with the lighter evenings with us and hopefully warmer weather we hope to see a lot more of you out on a Wednesday.
